Process automation for SMEs and finance teams

The terms behind the templates and the work.

Last updated

Three things in plain English: what the Excel template licence covers, how a purchase through Gumroad works, and the basis on which project work is done.

The short version

  • The templates are licensed for personal and internal business use
  • Support on a template you bought is by email
  • Checkout, files and receipts are handled by Gumroad, under Gumroad's own terms
  • Project work runs on what we agree between us, not on this page

What the template licence covers

Every Excel template sold through this site carries the same licence: personal and internal business use, with support by email. One purchase covers use inside your own business, as much and as often as you like. The licence stops at the edge of that business, so it does not stretch to passing the file on to anyone else.

What the licence includes

One purchase, used inside your own business.

  • Use of the workbook by you and by people inside your organisation
  • Editing and reworking the file so it fits the way your business runs
  • Your own data in it, for as long as you find it useful
  • Support by email on the template you bought

What it does not include

The parts the licence does not reach.

  • Reselling the workbook, or any reworked version of it
  • Sharing the file with another business, or publishing it
  • Using it as the basis of a product or template you sell
  • Handing it on as part of work you charge a client for

Buying through Gumroad

Two templates are on sale, the Month-End Close Tracker and the Finance KPI Dashboard, at £39 each. The product links on this site hand you over to Gumroad, and the sale happens there: the checkout, the payment, the file delivery and the receipt are all Gumroad's.

Because the sale takes place on Gumroad, Gumroad's own terms apply to it, including the way it handles payment and refunds, and the receipt it issues is the record of what was bought. We never see your card details. What we do hold, and for how long, is set out in the privacy notice.

If a file does not arrive, or a workbook does not do what its listing says it does, email us and tell us what happened. Support on the templates is by email.

Working together on a project

The services described on this site are process and automation work, built on the systems your business already owns. The scope, the price and the timing of a specific project are agreed between us in writing before the work starts, and those are the terms that govern it. What sits on this site describes the shape of the work rather than fixing it.
